In
Florida:
- The Railroad facilitated a rescue from SC to FL, a family of
5. The males have been neutered and are recuperating
nicely. The wound on the mother is also healing well.
- The pair rescued on 1-20-04 were placed with a clean bill of
health on 2-24-04 with a loving and patient home.
- 2-29-04: Athena and Venus have been coming back to
life, They have gained 15 and 20 grams respectively, and
their fur has grown back. It will be a while before they
trust, but they are on their way.
- A pair of girls, after spending their entire 6 mos. of life
in a cage the size of a shoe box, was rescued 2-15-04.
They have severe skin damage from the urine soaked pouch that
was their only refuge in their tiny home. Named (for the first
time in their lives) Athena and Venus, they were extremely
underweight, most of their tails were furless and had begun to
atrophy due to malnutrition.
- A pair of gliders was rescued 1-20-04
- A single glider, Ivy, was rescued 1-12-04
- A single female who has lost her cage mate was rescued on
9-26-03
- Update on Precious: her
hair has grown back and she has gained 15 grams!
She is happily living with my neutered colony and doing well!!
